WebMay 7, 2014 · We replace motherboards quite often and bounce stuff around, drop hdd on top of motherboards that are powered up and so on. Nothing ever seems to break from that type of interaction. Boards and expansion cards burn out when they burn out. I agree with ThatVeitGuy the chances of damaging a mobo by droping a screw are a million to 1.
